Q. How do you cite a song in MLA format?

The MLA Handbook (8th ed.) provides for this on page 28:

Beyonce. "Pretty Hurts." Beyonce, ParkwoodEntertainment, 2013, www.beyonce.com/album/beyonce/?media_view=songs.

Here is the general format:

Last Name, First Name (if available). "Tile of the song." Title of the album, Label, Distribution Date.
